Starting from January 1st 2011, the guaranteed gross minimum salary is set at 670 lei per month for a full program of work, 170 hours per month on average, in 2011, representing 3.94 lei/hour.
Establishing basic wages below the minimum sum for a individual hired by individual employment contract is contravention and shall be fined with sums from 1,000 lei to 2,000 lei.
