OFFICIAL GAZETTE 844/16.12 - Order no. 13/2010 issued on 13/12/2010, regarding the implementation of the rules on conditions and modalities of electronic communication of data referring to the insurance contracts for vehicles registered in Romania

These rules come into force on January 1st 2011, but they also apply to the insurance policies issued during 2010, but whose period of validity begins in 2011.

All insurance companies – authorized to practice the  insurance for damages caused in accidents by vehicles registered in Romania or the optional vehicle insurance – are required to submit complete information on the  insurance contracts signed directly or through intermediaries and on  their associated damage within the deadline stipulated by these rules to CEDAM unique database.
            At the same time, the insurance companies are required to submit – to the road events database (REVER) – the complete information regarding the road events in question, including an electronic copy of the amicable settlement, within 5 days of the prejudice approval.
