The owners of houses who have concluded optional insurance contracts regarding the risks provided in law no. 260/2008 have the obligation to conclude mandatory insurance contracts for the houses on the expiry date of the optional insurance contracts or, in the case of multiannual insurance contracts, on the date of their first celebration. Also, the optional insurance contracts for houses which cover the risks which make the object of the mandatory insurance contract for houses may be concluded for such risks, only for insurance amounts which exceed the mandatory insurance amounts.
